Join AlaHA

Membership Eligibility
Membership is available to general and special hospitals licensed to operate in the state of Alabama for the provision of inpatient care. All memberships are subject to approval by the AlaHA Board of Trustees.

Two Types of Hospital Membership

  1. Hospital Membership: This is for the individual hospital. It is an organizational membership that entitles all hospital employees, volunteers, etc. to participate in AlaHA programs and utilize the association’s resources. The CEO is the primary contact.
  2. Hospital Corporate Membership: This is for corporate offices of multi-institutional systems that operate at least one hospital that is already a member of the association. The CEO is the primary contact.

All hospitals and corporate hospital members have voting privileges and are allowed to hold office.

Membership Dues
AlaHA dues are calculated using hospital expenses as reported on the Medicare Cost Report. The association’s fiscal year runs July 1 - June 30, and annual dues are billed in June of each year. Members who join later in the year may be eligible for prorated dues amounts.
